SSB Rig is SBE 34 made about 1970. 130 watts plate input/65 watts out. Collins 2.1 KHz filter used for both receive and for audio output generation. Use a Radio Shack digital frequency counter to double check frequency output. It's not a nostalgia trip but a good transceiver that I could buy for $85 at a hamfest and it could reach needed Navy MARS frequencies. Page opens in new browser window
Built antenna coupler on wood using hamfest parts - just because I could. Radiate using multi-band Byrne-Windom antenna.
I've homebrewed some CW gear and test instruments. Currently working on a homebrew, solid-state SSB exciter.
